Full title reads: "Air age dawning? Mr. Mines, intrepid inventor, continues experimenting with his self-made glider".

    Southport, Merseyside.

M/S of car parked on sand dunes, in foreground several men are fixing together glider wings. C/U of the wings, there is a harness on the underside for the pilot to hang from. M/S of Mr. M., wearing a flying helmet, climbing into harness. The wings have been strapped onto roof of a car.

Various L/Ss of car driving across beach. It appears Mr. M.'s wings are supposed to glide off roof and into air with velocity of moving car. Unfortunately experiment goes wrong - Mr. M. and wings fall off back of car straight onto sandy beach with a thud. People rush over to help inventor get back onto his feet. M/S of Mr. M. being helped out of wing harness - he seems uninjured.

Intertitle reads: "Flying is only 25 years old ... in another 25 years his name may be added to the Wrights, Santos Dumont and Bleriot ... Aviation's earliest pioneers!"

Various shots of Mr. M and group of people surveying slightly damaged wings.

Note: it remains a mystery whether or not Mr. M's wing ever did succeed. Although it is fair to say he never got to be in the same league as the Wright brothers. AH 2001.
