We have the airplane at La Guardia listed in our records as a Dakota DC 4, but we're not sure whether this is right. Can anyone confirm?

  2. jamied says

This record of the incident records the aircraft as being a Dougla DC-4......

  3. jamied says

    Oops, Douglas DC-4........

  4. Eric Mc says

The name \"Dakota\" was used by the RAF for their versions of the Douglas DC-3 (or C-47).

The DC-3 was a twin engined airliner. The larger DC-4 was four engined.
