Titles read: 'NOW Pathe Pictorial has pleasure in presenting - AFRIQUE - famous "on the air" and in variety. "The man with a thousand voices".'

    Pathe Studio, London.

On a set dressed to look like a dressing room we see Afrique, in white tie and tails, introducing his first impression as "tough guy of the films" Wallace Beery. He sits at the dressing table and starts to put on make-up.

Fade into shot of Afrique in full Wally Beery getup of scruffy clothes and cap. He talks to an old man sitting on a chair. He says he has a date with Mae West, who calls him her desert pansy (presumably a big laugh from the cinema audience at this!).

Afrique then gives us Maurice Chevalier as if bidding farewell to London. He does a little joke about buying lots of straw hats so that they are not all taken by Chevalier impersonators. Then he sings a little song about leaving London and going back to Paris.

Afrique sings a song about Vienna ('Vienna, City Of My Dreams'), but I'm not sure if he is impersonating an operatic singer or singing in his own voice!
