    Norfolk.

Wing Commander Kenneth Wallis has built a one-man autogyro - "the James Bond world is more than ever coming true"!

M/S of Wallis starting the propeller on a mini-helicopter, he folds down the rota blade, climbs in the cockpit and pulls on his safety belt. Various shots of the helicopter taxiing around a field, eventually taking off and flying over the roof of a stately home. M/S of a small group of people leaning on a gate watching the mini-helicopter. Panning shot following the helicopter flying at treetop level. More shots of the spectators. M/S of Wallis landing the helicopter with no hands, he bumps along the ground for a few seconds before taking off again. C/U of the spectators. More shots of the helicopter in flight, Wallis flaps his arms like a bird flying.

The aircraft seen here is the prototype Wallis WA116, Reg. No. G-ARRT.

There's more footage of this aircraft in clip 1797.27.

Mr Wallis was 96 in April 2012, and was certainly still flying at the age of 94......
