Full title reads: "St. Denis de Piles, France. A Tragic Test - New suspension bridge collapses under strain of ten heavily laden lorries before public opening, killing 15 and injuring 19."

St. Denis de Piles, Near Bordeaux, France.

Various shots of remains of the collapsed suspension bridge. Much of the bridge is now in the river below. A few cables remain hanging limply.

Shots of lorries partially submerged in the water of the river. The lorries which were laden with gravel were being driven over the bridge to see if it would take the strain - it obviously didn't.

Good shots of parts of the bridge's cabling system. Men stand inspecting the damage. Shots of the water moving below.

A crowd watches a dead bodies being carried away on a stretcher.

A man in a deep sea diving suit climbs into the water.

The tragedy occurred on 3 June 1931.

"St Dennis" should read St Denis (3 changes needed, including in tags).
