• Short Summary

Brilliant new and modern design of railway engine - looks like it is from 1990's not 1930s.

  • Description

Full title reads: "Hanover. 'A Railway Zeppelin'. Revolutionary designed coach, heralding new era in express trains, driven by 500 hp engine, working on oil fuel, attains speed of 94 mph on first test.!"

    Hanover, Germany.

Great shots of wonderfully streamlined aerodynamically designed railway engine. Various shots of the engine travelling at speed along rails - it is driven forward by a large propellor at the rear. It looks very modern - almost space age.

The vehicle shown here is the "Schienenzeppelin", an experimental railcar designed by Franz Kruckenberg.

It could hold up to 40 passengers.
