    Record breaking aviator Squadron Leader G R Gayford (wearing civvies) walks through crowd (with his mother). People raise their hats and cheer.

    Gayford stands in front of group of Scout Cubs and other local people. He is presented with a plaque by the local British Legion.

    Gayford's car is pulled through the streets by men pulling it on tow ropes. People cheer as he goes past. He and his mother get out at her house.
