    Pan along large slag heap. Closer shot of miners digging in slag heap trying to find usable pieces of coal. One group stop and have a short rest and a drink of tea in a hole they have dug.

    A man carries a bag of coal on his shoulder as he walks away from the mound. More men carry away the coal they have managed to salvage during their day.
