    Portsmouth, Hampshire.

    SV Moir calls to Dickinson. SV supporters parading on touchline, & SCU. LV Portsmouth kick off go into attack, & SV. LV Portsmouth attacking down left wing. SV ball coming over to centre near goal. Barrass heads backwards and ball goes for corner. SV Harris takes corner, ball goes to goal. LV Bolton neatly work ball out of danger and starts good passing movement from which takes the ball from their own goal up to their opponents. Parry centres and although Mansell heads away Bolton still keep possession and press on. SV crowd. SV Stevens shoots, Platt kicks ball to feet of Moir who shoots and scores. Players congratulate. LV crowd. LV Portsmouth's Wilson gains possession and starts upfield. CU Wilson running with ball, passes to Dale who keeps movement going. CU Portsmouth supporter. SV Portsmouth attacking Bolton goal. Ball bobbing around until cleared upfield. SV winger Harris throws in. Ball to Len Phillips who taps it aside for Dickinson to run on. He returns to Phillips. Phillips lobs it toward goal and Gordon rushes in and heads it in. Pan to crowd, back to players SV crowd. SV nice Bolton approach work. Parry receives, dribbles into position. LV Parry centres, Lofthouse chests ball down and attacks left-footed, forcing goal keeper Platt down to save. SV crowd. SV Moir heads Bolton second goal. Goal. LV crowd. LV Wilson gets ball out of his own goal area and works it upfield. CU naval rating. LV Portsmouth attacking. Henderson slips ball out to Jack Froggatt. Froggatt drives across empty goal and ball just misses far post. Bolton hold hands up in relief. Pan to Portsmouth players looking dejected. SV crowd.

    Half time 2-1. LV Portsmouth attacking. Another near miss coming up. Ball to Froggatt, he centres, crosses goal but Henderson is just too late to put it in. SV Dickinson throwing in but Holden is back helping his defence and clears upfield. SV other end. Bolton attacking. Goalie punches. He collects ball at second attempt, withstands charge by Moir and throws upfield. SV Len Phillips leading another Portsmouth raid. Passes forward but strong Bolton tackling forces ball out goal, Gordon following up sends in a terrific shot which Hanson falls on. SV chap with dog. LV Plat at Portsmouth end. Bolton attacking. SV Bolton players appeal for penalty as Lofthouse is bowled over. Play goes on and Duggie Reid coolly takes ball upfield. LV Portsmouth attack. Froggatt chasing ball, his header just misses post with goalkeeper Hanson beaten. SV crowd. LV other end, Portsmouth attacking. Scrimmage in goal mouth. SV Dickinson. playing a real captains game, gathers ball, dribbles clear and sets Portsmouth away again. SV neat passing moves by Portsmouth. Froggatt receives, beats his man, centres but it is just out of reach of his fellow forwards and goes behind goal. SV end of game. Crowd. STV players shaking hands as they leave field, & SCU.
