    Gander, Newfoundland. Belgian Skymaster plane crashes in forests of Newfoundland.

    The crash occurred on 18 September 1946.

    The plane involved was a Douglas DC-4-1009, operated by the Belgian carrier Sabena.

    The final death toll reached 27.

    Footage of the incident is also contained in clip 1410.18.
