01:45:42 Dawn shot of two French pilots (Nungesser / Nungessor and Coli? sp?) climbing into an aircraft. The 'plane takes off on an Atlantic flight. They were never seen again.

01:46:10 C/U of lighthouse lamp. Lighthouse keeper on watch - he looks through binoculars at the sea.

01:46:23 C/U of pilot - either Noel Davis or Lieutenant Wooster (first name not known). Two pilots climb into their "American Legion" aircraft. Various shots of the aircraft and of crowds watching.
