L/S of the crowd, very dark. The camera blitz enables the spectator to recognise President-elect Franklin Roosevelt waving. L/S Crowd is shouting and police is in the crowd. There was an attempt to assassinate Roosevelt, narrator explains.

N.B. The attempt to assassinate FDR actually took place in 1933. The shots were fired by Giuseppe Zingara. Although the voiceover describes Cermak as Mayor of Miami - this is not correct. MD - 5/10/00. The President's inauguration also took place in 1933, March 4 to be exact.
