    Intertitle- 'Greenhithe' (Kent) M/S of coastal steamer "Diamond" being towed along with only its masts and funnels showing after it has been hit by another ship.

    Intertitle - 'Birkenhead' (Merseyside) - L/S of people applauding as Admiralty Director of Naval Construction lays the keel plate of the first battleship to be built on the Mersey in 14 years. Various shots as camera pans across it and the crowds. M/S's as keel is manoeuvred into position, the ship will be called 'The Prince of Wales' and have defence against air attacks. M/S of crowds, M/S of its name.

    Intertitle - 'Spain' - M/S of Government forces holding tins of condensed milk shipped from Russia, C/U of one tin. M/S of sheep driven into the towns to feed the soldiers. M/S as camera pans across hospitals and ambulance. M/S of the damaged tower of the hospital.
