M/S as Prince George, Duke of Kent, gets out of the car and greets the mayor, he is on a tour of unemployment clubs. C/U of him talking to others and walking along, Lord Derby is with him. People cheer and wave as his car drives through the streets.
Intertitle - 'Windermere.' (Cumbria). M/S of a boat named "Teal". M/S as a lady launches it, people watch as the boat enters the water.
Intertitle - 'Lambeth.' (London). L/S of crowds of people in Brockwell Park. M/S of the mayor, Councillor Bickley, making a speech about freedom of citizenship. M/S of choir singing 'Abide with Me' in the park. The camera pans across people watching.
Intertitle - 'Derby.' (Derbyshire). L/S as men set off on a walk. Various shots as they walk briskly along. M/S of Tommy Green, record holder for the shortest time. M/S as they continue and get towards the end. The walk is won by Mr Whitlock, who also breaks the time record. M/S as he passes the line. He shyly makes a speech saying it was a good battle.
Intertitle - 'Dover.' (Kent). L/S of the docks at Dover, people watch as one of the huge dock gates slides down into water with men standing on the top.
Intertitle - 'Lord's.' (London). M/S of two cricket captains of Oxford and Cambridge tossing a coin on the pitch. The teams walk out, various shots as they play. M/S of two boys watching. Various shots of people in latest fashions. M/S of the scoreboard. Various shots of the match, Cambridge win.
