Animation featuring Jerry the Troublesome Tyke an ace cartoon dog. A U.I.C. production.

Jerry walks along in the countryside. He finds a car and gets in. C/U of him driving. He makes funny faces at the audience. He stops and looks around (seems like he is in the same place so hasn't really been driving.) Suddenly the car lurches off. The car careers down a hillside. We see the car driving along at great speed with Jerry's feet sticking out of the back. Jerry shouts for help and says a prayer. He tries to get out. He shouts "What'll I do?" An aircraft pilot responds with: "Stick it Jerry!" (I think that "Stick it " is Jerry's catch phrase.) Jerry waves his fists at the pilot who then throws him a rope. Jerry flies through the clouds then above some buildings (Jerry superimposed over real film aerial shots). A bird bites Jerry's tail and hangs on. He keeps biting the tail then he flies up and starts biting the rope from which Jerry is hanging. The rope snaps and Jerry plummets to the ground. Jerry plunges into the sea.

Underwater images of Jerry as he swims along, he hits the bottom and gets scared by a shark. "Oo! A kipper" he exclaims. A strange spotty fish swims towards him (this is real film footage) Jerry looks scared. The fish swims past without bothering Jerry. Jerry juggles with some air bubbles. He spots a mermaid and gets all shy and coy. The mermaid beckons him over. He walks over to where he saw her but she is gone. He makes a gesture that looks as if he is commenting on the size of her breasts! He goes behind a rock and all sorts of stars and shapes come flying out. Jerry emerges being chased by an irate octopus. Jerry swims along behind a large fish. A bottle floats past and Jerry grabs it. He takes the lid off and pulls out a treasure map. He swims up to the surface. End title reads: "It looks as though Jerry's on a good thing... Watch for his further adventures - next week!"

Was probably an item in Pathe Pictorial issue 391.
