The Titanic sea trials
Here we see the Titanic setting sail from Belfast for its sea trials on the 2nd of April, 1912, only two days after her fitting out was completed and just eight days before she was due to sail to Southampton for her maiden voyage.

As the Titanic commenced its crossing of the Atlantic the total wealth of its passengers was estimated to be in excess of £120 million.
