On 6 February 1958 a charter plane with 44 passengers on board crashed after refueling in Munich. The crash claimed the lives of 21 people including 8 members of the Manchester United football team known as the 'Busby Babes'.
The Busby Babes When Matt Busby took charge of Manchester United in 1945 he wanted to create a younger team, he knew the key to success was youth. Thanks to his management, after 2 years the team had won their first trophy in 40 years.
