9. Tommy Steele marries Anne Donague (1960)
It seems singer-come-actor Tommy Steele and his brother-come-best man Colin Hicks were laughing all the way through Tommy’s wedding. If you watch the British Pathé clip there are shots to be enjoyed of the bride Anne Donague too, but we thought you’d like this shot of the boys grinning. You can see her veil in the background here.

The pair were married in London on the 18th June 1960, just yards away from Pathé’s head office at the time. We believe they are still married to this day, although whether they settled in Tommy’s home suburb of Bermondsey we’re not sure.
